Note: The wiring of 48V inverter is similar to the 24V inverter, and the batteries are connected in series.

Protection Functions & Applications

• Reverse Polarity Protection: Auto protection when input positive and negative polarities are reversely connected – The fuse blown out.
• Short Circuit Protection: Automatically self-protect when short circuit occurs – Red LED light ON.
• Low Voltage Protection: Automatically protect when in low voltage – Alarm first, the voltage continuously reduces, the red light is on and the inverter shuts down.
• Over Voltage Protection: Automatically protect when in high voltage – Red LED light is on, and the inverter automatically shuts down.
• Over Temperature Protection: Automatically self-protect when at high temperature – Alarm first, the temperature continuously rises, the red light is on and the inverter shuts down.

Tips: Inverters versus converters

Similarities between the inverter and converter

• Both are voltage inversion: The inverter and the converter have the same function and both are to realize the voltage inversion. The power inverter converts the 12V/24V/48V DC from the battery or battery bank to high-frequency, high-voltage AC electricity (110V/ 120V/ 220V/ 230V/ 240V etc.), while the converter converts the AC voltage of the grid into a stable DC power.
• Both adopt PWM technology: Both of them use pulse width modulation (PWM) technology, and the core part is a PWM integrated controller.

Differences between the inverter and converter

• The roles are opposite: Although inverters and converters are to achieve voltage inversion, but the former is to convert low-voltage DC into high-frequency high-voltage AC, while the latter is to convert AC to DC.
• The chip is different: The power inverter uses the chip with operating voltage range of 3.6V-40V, and the internal also set the regulator, error amplifier, oscillator, short-circuit protection circuit, low voltage protection circuit and so on. But the converter is different.
