ATAGO Handheld Refractometers are exceptionally simple to operate and provide quick measurements for the concentration of nearly any aqueous solution. Easy to Use Operation consists of placing 1 or 2 drops of the sample on the prism, closing the daylight plate over the sample, then looking through the focus able, cushioned-rubber eyepiece for the reading. All units calibrate with water or a refractive index (nD) standard. Accurate Easy-to-read scales with large figures and screen shading significantly enhance overall accuracy – even when the instrument is used by several different operators. All units feature rubber grips on the body, which block the transmission of hand heat to reduce temperature errors; rubber hoods to prevent light from entering through the eyepiece and calibration screw protectors to eliminate accidental calibration changes. Durable All models feature a rugged construction to provide years of reliable use. Their prisms are mounted in high-impact plastic for exceptional corrosion and breakage resistance, and their non-roll stands ensure that once the unit is set down it won’t be prone to roll off a table or desktop.
